Job Description:

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Machinist to work in the Aurora, IL area. -This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. -

• 2nd Shift: 2 pm - 10 pm - -
  RESPONSIBILITIES: -
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specification, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
  • Other duties as may be deemed by management. -
    REQUIREMENTS: -
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Ability to read drawings and tape measure accurately. Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for whole numbers and fractions. Basic understanding of the difference between standard and metric measurements.
    • Ability to calculate dimensions and angles.
    • Ability to learn how to operate band saw, drill press and beveling machines. Ability to safely use cutting torches and grinding equipment.
    • Ability to perform basic layout work. Experience in use of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and rulers, as well as height, thread, and pin gages.
    • Ability to lift 25 plus pounds frequently. - -
