This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers an exciting opportunity to support students in grades 6-8 as a resource teacher. The role is based in a school setting in Naperville, IL, and is a contract position to cover a maternity leave. The focus will be on delivering specialized instructional support tailored to the diverse needs of students in a resource setting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 6-8 Provide targeted instruction and support in a resource classroom environment Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student development Adhere to all special education policies and procedures within the school district Desired Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with middle school students in resource or specialized settings Strong knowledge of special education strategies and compliance requirements Ability to create engaging, differentiated lesson plans Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment Location: Naperville, Illinois This maternity leave contract position provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys while working full-time in a dynamic school community.
