Marcfirst is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Supported Living . This position is a supervisory role managing, coaching, and guiding On-Site Supervisors (OSS) and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in their responsibilities of aiding supported residents; including following Person Centered Plans (PCP) and Implementation Strategy for assigned individuals. This position requires certification as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), as well as related duties . This position reports to the Director of Supported Living. Pay: Hourly, based on experience

Job Type: Full-time - 40 hours/week

Typical workweek will allow some flexibility in daytime work schedule, Monday thru Friday, with open availability required to support staff and individuals supported.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide coaching and mentoring to On-Site Supervisors (OSS) and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in their duties to assist supported residents.
Support OSS team with on-call supports as needed.
Assist people supported with achieving their outcomes based on the individual's Person Center Plan (PCP) while establishing and maintaining natural support systems.
Participate in PCP planning process.
Assist with any activity of daily living as outlined in the PCP.
Develop Implementation Strategies for supported residents.
Communicate and serve as an agency liaison to parents, guardians, individuals supported, peers, community, neighbors, and work groups.
Develop and maintain natural support systems for people, by promoting community participation for individuals.
Manage financial resources, support database management systems, and maintain files.
Advocate for people with developmental disabilities in our community.
Support staff in Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) homes with the following tasks as it relates to supported residents:
Personal care, such as bathing, changing, and toileting
Building relationships and encouraging community participation
Fostering skill-building and working towards residents' individual goals
Other household tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
Transporting residents to appointments, recreational events, and other outings
Develop, implement, and maintain systems for the safety and security of all people receiving services and employees in the home.
Report employee on the job injuries/accidents, no matter how slight, to Human Resources (HR) immediately and ensure employees have properly filled out documentation in a timely manner.
Report Safety and Maintenance issues in the workplace to the appropriate person(s) in a timely manner.
Ability to provide CPR/First Aid if necessary.
Knowledge of and adherence to agency policies and procedures.
Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer's business needs.

Bachelor's degree in a human services field
Training provided to become certified as Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)
Management experience preferred
Minimum one year of experience supporting people with disabilities
Ability to work based on needs of homes and people supported, which will include some evenings and/or weekends when needed.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team environment
Must be able communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Must be organized, and have good attention to detail
Must possess valid driver's license, and be able to successfully pass criminal, DCFS, safe driving background check, TB test and drug screen

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. The employee will also frequently need to converse with adults - some who might be difficult to understand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, push, pull, reach, and walk for periods of time. Must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
