The Emergency Department (ED) is committed to our Nursing
Professional Practice Model; we believe in caring relationships
with our patients, families, community, and colleagues to provide
exceptional care. The ED at Carle BroMenn is a full-service 25-bed,
Level II Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center,
and an Emergency Department Approved for pediatrics. In the ED, no
two days or hours are the same. From heart attacks and strokes to
motor vehicle accidents, fractured bones, and more, emergency
nurses experience it all.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion
and skilled dialogue, the registered nurse leads efforts to create
the safest patient environment and the best patient experience. The
nurse delivers and coordinates patient-centered care across the
continuum to support the successful transition of patients to other
healthcare delivery systems or their home communities. The
registered nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating
comprehensive patient care through the appropriate utilization of
assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, in
accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma (Not HS) in Nursing. BSN
must be completed within 4 years of start date.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Illinois upon hire and
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) within 1 year.

plan and implement interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of
