BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Ability to float to multiple units and
provide care to diverse patient populations. - Ability to manage
care for both acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary
patients. - Ability to develop, implement, and modify patient care
plans. - Skill in medication administration and evaluating
medication effects. - Skill in preparing patients for procedures
and managing post-operative care. - Skill in IV venipuncture and
blood administration. - Ability to document care accurately using
EMR. - Ability to educate patients and families on care plans and
discharge instructions. - Ability to provide constructive feedback
and assist in professional development of peers. - Ability to
handle conflict management and maintain professional communication
with team members. - Skill in critical thinking to assess patient
status and take appropriate action. - Ability to collaborate
effectively with interdisciplinary team members. - Ability to
prioritize patient safety and adhere to all safety standards
including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and
ambulation safety. - Ability to complete patient bedside shift
reports, hourly rounding, and maintain updated patient

follow up on delegated tasks. Description: The Clinical Resource
Unit is committed to a Nursing Professional Practice Model. A

colleagues is essential to providing exceptional care. Dedicated
nursing staff, nurse leaders, interdisciplinary team members, and
physician partners provide specialized medical and nursing care to
various inpatient units. Medical diagnoses managed include
cardiovascular conditions, cancer, and post-surgical care among
others. The environment is fast-paced, exciting, and evolving.
Responsibilities include performing all duties required by the unit
as specific to the scope of service. Accurate documentation of
nursing care is essential. Initial assessments are conducted upon
patient admission to develop appropriate care plans. The plan of
care is implemented, modified based on continuous evaluation, and
communicated effectively. Safety is a priority, requiring reporting
and correcting any hazards or incidents. Professional development
is actively supported by offering constructive feedback to peers.
Collaboration with colleagues is encouraged to expand knowledge
bases. All departmental competencies are fulfilled. Care is
provided directly to various patient populations, coordinating with
multidisciplinary team members. Patient education and discharge
instructions are fundamental aspects of care. Post-operative care
is provided, ensuring effective pain management and monitoring
post-surgical recovery. Patient safety measures, documentation, and
conflict management are integral to everyday responsibilities.
Prompt response to patient call lights is maintained to ensure
effective triage and completion of requests. Critical thinking is
applied to evaluate patient conditions and take necessary actions
for positive outcomes. Bedside shift reports are received to ensure
