The shift is structured as four 10-hour days from 0645 to 1715. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, and first-timers are not accepted. Weekend requirements involve working one weekend per month. On-call duty is required, approximately one time per week. Candidates will typically not float but may be required to within their skill set. Flexibility for a block schedule is not an option. Local candidates will not be accepted, and applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. All requested time off must be reviewed and approved. The facility can call off shifts up to 36 hours without compensation for the canceled hours. Candidates are expected to have experience with all service lines except cardiovascular. Cerner experience is preferred. Special requirements include a broad range of surgical case experience, specifically in trauma, emergency management, and various surgical procedures. The hospital is recognized as an acute care facility with Magnet designation and a Level I trauma center.
