Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Med/Surg experience is
required. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response experience:
Telemetry - remote monitoring. Use of Rapid Response Teams.
Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy Care, Feeding
tube care and management. Genitourinary/Renal Case
Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.
IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood
Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line
Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Medication
Skills/Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA. Respiratory Case
Skills/Experience: CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC),
Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning,
Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Tracheostomy Management.
Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound
Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience required. Description: The
position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. This role
requires working nights from 18:00 to 06:30. The average daily
census is 35 patients. Candidates that float to meet facility needs
may be required. Every other weekend work is required. No on-call
duty is required. Candidates must be able to accommodate block
scheduling requests. Ideal candidates should have experience in
diverse patient care scenarios including those involving cardiac,
gastrointestinal, renal, and respiratory issues. The nurse will be
responsible for patient care which includes monitoring telemetry,
managing IVs, and providing medication administration as needed.
Involvement in interdisciplinary support teams such as Physical
Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy is expected. Patients
on this unit vary from adults to geriatrics with chronic and acute
medical diagnoses. The environment necessitates compliance with
safety and quality protocols. Experience and knowledge in isolation
precautions and wound care are imperative. Candidates should be
proficient using electronic health record systems, specifically
