Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Occupational Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with outpatient lymphedema experience for a day shift position requiring current IL licensure and BLS certification. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in an acute care Level II Trauma center - Position is in the outpatient OT department - Day shifts available as 4x10 or 5x8 hour schedules, typically from 8:00 to 16:30 - Rotating weekend coverage every 6 weeks - May float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities as needed - Cerner EMR is used and experience with Cerner is required - Gray scrubs or professional business casual attire required - Provide outpatient occupational therapy with a focus on lymphedema treatment - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays - Requested time off is ideally limited to 5 days, with more requiring facility approval - No radius restriction for local candidates - Former PERM or PRN employees must have a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler - Free parking permit will be provided and completed during orientation - Virtual orientation modules must be completed on the first day /n /n Requirements/n - Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license in hand required for consideration - BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required - NBCOT certification required - Minimum 1 year of OT experience required - Lymphedema experience required - Ability to float to other areas of the hospital or affiliated sites as needed - License required if applicable /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-663836.
