Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS, TNCC, and TNS preferred
Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Current
certifications - Ability to float within facility as needed
Description: Position specialty is ICU RN. Shift is 3x12 Days from
06:45 to 19:15. The average daily census is 10 patients. Minimum of
1 year of experience is required. First-time travelers are
accepted. Weekend requirement includes working every other weekend.
On-call requirement is necessary. Travelers will be the first to
float off the unit. Floating may occur to all other ICUs (Medical,
Neuro, Cardiac) as well as Intermediate Care and general floors on
modified teams if needed. The unit primarily cares for trauma and
burn patients but also accommodates medical and cardiac overflow.
The facility is an acute care hospital and designated as a Level I
trauma center. Total staffed beds in the facility is 562. Charting
system used is Cerner. Experience with the charting system is
required. Daily patient ratios are 2 on both days and nights.
Vacancy involves support from interdisciplinary teams, including
physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Special
skills required include management of dysrhythmias, ventilator
management, and care of patients with multisystem organ
dysfunction. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Compliance with all facility requirements is mandatory throughout
the assignment. Candidates must ensure they can secure housing and
