Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care, Level I trauma, Magnet hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and active ARRT and IL licensure required. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Acute care hospital setting — 562-bed Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility - X-Ray department covering multiple work settings including adult acute care, adult outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and OR - Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM - Works every third weekend, plus on-call and holiday coverage as required - On-call required as needed - No floating outside of scope - Charting via Cerner (experience preferred) - Local candidates accepted — no radius restriction - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - RTO of no more than 5 days is preferred for this assignment; all time-off requests should be submitted upfront - 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration - Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration - Scrubs may be any solid color - Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation /n /n Requirements/n - Minimum 1 year of X-Ray technologist experience required - Active ARRT certification required - Active BLS required - Active IL state license required — pending licensure will not be considered; license required if applicable - Experience across a broad range of X-Ray skill areas required, including: abdomen/GI (decubitus, supine/KUB, upright), chest and thorax (AP, lateral decubitus, routine, upper airway/soft tissue neck), head (facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, TMJ), lower extremity (ankle, femur, foot, knee, tibia-fibula), spine and pelvis (cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, hip, pelvis, sacrum/coccyx), upper extremity (clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, trauma shoulder/humerus, wrist), and mobile/surgical (C-arm procedure, portable abdomen, portable chest) - Experience with O-ARM equipment required - OR experience preferred - Cerner EMR experience preferred - Level I trauma experience preferred - Must be physically present in Illinois at least 3 business days prior to the compliance hard deadline to complete fingerprinting requirements /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-676540.
