Overview
Chestnut Health Systems' research division, the Lighthouse
Institute, is seeking a full-time Software Development Analyst for
our Normal, IL location or remote work from home opportunity!

Responsibilities
Work with supervisor, team members and/or customers in the
development of software specifications.
Design, build and maintain software intermediate level applications
using modern development techniques, efficient, reusable and
reliable code.
Identify problems, bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to
these problems.
Develop and implement software test plans.
Work collaboratively, participate in team meetings and maintain
frequent communications with development team members and others
involved in the development process.
Write technical documentation and provide support/training to end
users as required.
Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence through
the adherence to Chestnut's behavioral standards for customer
service.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and three
(3) years' experience working as a programmer/developer; OR an
equivalent combination of education and software development
experience.
Experience developing and maintaining full-stack software in a .NET
environment.
Proficient in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core
Experience with HTML, JavaScript and web development frameworks
(Bootstrap, jQuery, ASP.NET Core).
Experience with Relational Databases and SQL.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and familiarity
with common design patterns.
Experience with REST web service development.
Professional experience developing and implementing test plans.
Professional experience working as part of a software development
team.
Professional experience writing technical documentation.
Familiarity with Entity Framework and Code First migrations is a
plus.
Experience with cross-platform development in a .NET environment is
a plus.
Willingness and commitment to work to meet key project deadlines
and to travel to site to review local activity.
Ability to communicate with both non-technical and statistical
staff, good customer service approach and flexibility, strong
technical skills and attention to detail, able to meet
deadlines.
Ability to define problem, ask questions of senior staff before and
during the process, attempt a draft of deliverables for review, and
revise upon receipt of comments.
Satisfactory Completion of Chestnut's background checking
process.
This position can be on-site or off-site, consulting or full-time
and will be ranked based on training and experience.
