Job Description:
Sysco, a global leader in the foodservice industry, is currently
seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Local CDL A Truck Driver
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for
delivering food products safely and efficiently to our valued
customers including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and
hospitality businesses. Our drivers play a crucial role in
maintaining our reputation for excellence and reliability, ensuring
that Sysco remains at the forefront of the food distribution
industry. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport and deliver
products within specified routes, maintaining on-time delivery and
secure loads. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your
vehicle, noting any safety concerns or mechanical issues for
immediate resolution. Ensure all documentation related to cargo,
weight, and route is accurate and complete. Interact professionally
with customers during deliveries, addressing and resolving any
concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. Adhere strictly to all
safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring that all transportation
activities are carried out responsibly. Manage routes and routines
so they proceed in the most efficient way possible, finding ways to
conserve fuel and reduce unnecessary mileage. Proficient in
operating a tractor-trailer and various types of transportation
vehicles. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to
maintain composure under pressure and make decisions in real-time.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to the
transportation and logistics industry. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Must possess a valid Commercial
Driver's License (CDL) Class A. Clean driving record with no
traffic violations. DOT medical certification.
