Job Description:
Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. (ATS), a leader in the North
American freight and shipping logistics sector specializing in a
variety of transportation solutions including van transportation,
is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dry Van Truck Driver to join our
dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for the safe and
timely delivery of goods to various locations across North America,
ensuring all transportation laws and regulations are followed. This
position requires an individual who can operate a variety of truck
sizes and types, manage schedules, and maintain vehicles in
excellent working condition, reflecting ATS’s commitment to safety
and customer satisfaction. Safely operate a dry van to transport
goods to various locations across North America Inspect vehicles
for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative
maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and
log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain
fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
(size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as
well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into
loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery
instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Hands-on
experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units,
CB, etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and
regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected
situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Truck maintenance
skills Strong organizational and time management skills Valid truck
driving license (CDL) No recent moving or driving violations Passed
background check and drug screening Current DOT medical card
