Marcfirst is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to perform accounts receivable, general accounting, and analytical duties in support of Marcfirst's operations. This position reports to the Director of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization! Responsibilities include processing deposits in the accounting system and taking deposits to the bank, reconciling the accounts receivable ledger and other general ledger accounts, facilitating preparation of invoices to outside parties and collection of payment, generating financial statements, helping maintain a running balance of operating accounts, maintaining agency fix asset lists and tags, and attending fundraising events to aid in collection of money. Typical work week will include a flexible daytime work schedule, Monday thru Friday. Pay: Hourly, based on experienceJob Type: Full-Time ? 40 hours/week Requirements: + Bachelor?s degree with a major in Accounting preferred, or an Associate?s degree plus relevant work experience + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area, along with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra + Must possess valid driver?s license, and be able to successfully pass criminal, DCFS, safe driving background check, TB test and drug screen Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently expected to talk, hear, and possess clear close and distance vision. Frequently required to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, walk, use hands, fingers to reach or feel. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and use stairs. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
