Our mission is to manufacture the highest quality products, designed to reduce sample prep time in the lab for better and more repeatable scientific results.--Due to our continued rapid growth, we are seeking a Midwest Territory Laboratory Equipment Sales Manager.--As a Midwest Territory Laboratory Equipment Sales Manager at Omni International, you will be a key member of a Sales team driving sales, growth, and relationship management within an assigned sales region.--You will be responsible for maintaining a specific outside territory by meeting and exceeding sales goals.--Also, manage customer accounts to ensure premier service and technical support to customers with on-site visits on a regular and ongoing basis.REPORTS TO:--PresidentESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:A unique combination of scientific education and proven sales experience with scientific equipment/consumables instrumentationSell products in various market segments via direct salesEnsure that assigned territory meets sales goalsAttend local vendor shows and company' sponsored trade showsIdentify new opportunities through cold calling and penetrating new accountsDevelop relationships with new and existing customersDevelop sales strategies for assigned territory. which includes business plans, and market analysisConduct on-site customer visits to provide technical information with regards to cell culture, chromatography and related products and servicesHave a positive attitude, be a team player, and strive to learn and contribute to our company cultureManage and maintain information in the customer's database systemPerform other job-related duties as requested by customers and/or managementMinimal overnight travel (sales meetings /attend national conferences)QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in life science or business-related fieldMust have 3 to 5+ years proven sales experience selling Laboratory equipment2+ years direct sales experience preferred selling similar scientific equipment and consumables instrumentation2+ years of Laboratory hands-on experience preferredStrategic sourcing and knowledge of the account base in the geography preferredRequires analytical thinking and presenting ideasExperience in Microsoft Office and Salesforce or other CRM experienceExtremely skilled in the art of negotiationSelf-starter with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are criticalExcellent written communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environmentCritical problem solving and analytical skillsComputer proficiency and strong familiarity with Microsoft OfficeDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational skillsPositive attitude with an ability to work well independently as well as part of a teamCustomer-focusedAbility to travel up to 35%PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:Sitting, standing and bendingLifting and/or moving of up to 30 lbs.Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hearSpecific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.SAFETY:Adhere to company safety policies and proceduresWear required PPE (personal protective equipment) where neededImmediately report any unsafe conditions or other safety-related issuesWORK ENVIRONMENT:OMNI International is an Equal Opportunity Employer.--The Company makes all selection and other employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law(s).--In addition, the Company provides reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with physical and mental disabilities in accordance with applicable law(s).--If an accommodation is required to apply for employment, or to perform the essential job functions of a position you seek, contact Human Resources so appropriate arrangements can be made.NOTHING CONTAINED IN THIS JOB DESCRIPTION CREATES AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OR IN ANY WAY ALTERS THE EMPLOYEE'S STATUS AS AN EMPLOYEE AT- WILL.
